Time for a new post ...

Warning / Attention / Achtung!

The regular session of the United Nations General Assembly begins in September.

Be it therefore resolved that:

1. The Government make every attempt possible not to embarrass the Canadian people, as they have in every other matter touching foreign affairs since January 2006,
2. A recruitment campaign be FINALLY called for this September so that new blood might be injected into the system,
3. MR. Harper and MR. McKay be forbidden from speaking in public about anything relating to foreign affairs, under risk of hurting Canada's reputation even further.

Comments:
I second the motion and propose that you be nominated minister of Foreign Affairs and Schooling Peter Mackay... On second thought, maybe you'd make a good infantry soldier...

I vote nay, since the Canadian people gave the PM the the mandate to govern and guide foreign affairs

AND

foreign affairs activities/statements from the PM are finally being conducted less like paper-napkin musings from the previous 2 PMs.

Sorry, but that argument is flawed. First of all, the "Canadian people" voted HOW many seats to the Conservatives out of the entire Parliment? If we really want to be technical, shouldn't the government then consult with all of the opposition parties before they go sticking their heads out and making the rest of Canada look bad? The list is endless of the political no-nos that this government has made ...

As for Canada's past 2 PMs, ... let's not live in the past. For the past how many years, we've been listening to Liberal bashing, and frankly I'm sick of it. Let's start making the Conservatives either put up or shut up. If I want to call them on something, it has nothing to do with two PMs ago and everything to do with the decisions the current government is making. If you want to go back in time, let's talk about how Mulroney screwed up. And have we forgotten Campbell so soon?
